2010 National Jamboree

The Greater Yosemite Council 2009 Popcorn Sale has started! Scouts can earn a good portion of the money needed for the 2010 National Jamboree & Tour by participating in the sale. Read through this entire section of our website for all the information on how to participate.

The council is giving special consideration to Scouts earning money to attend the national jamboree. In exchange for not receiving a sales prize, jamboree Scouts can earn a 45% commission.

Call her at 545-6320 x103 for details. Sales done through home troops will not be credited toward jamboree fees and will only receive a 35% commission at most.

Any Scout who plans to apply for a jamboree scholarship must participate in the council popcorn sale.

There were a few packs and troops that averaged between $416 and $522 in sales per Scout last year. Motivated jamboree Scouts could do even better. Imagine reducing your jamboree fee by $200 or even $500! The popcorn sale can help a Scout learn the valuable lesson in "A Scout is Thrifty - a Scout pays his own way."
