Scouts register online at www.myscouting.org. Parents must first create a MyScouting account. The account must be in the adult's name.
Detailed instructions are available in Youth Registration Help.
To register a Scout, you must have his BSA member ID number. The BSA ID number is printed on his scout membership card. It is also available from troop records and the council office (209-545-6320).
You will also need the council number. Greater Yosemite Council is number 059.
To complete the registration process, log-in to MyScouting.org using the parent's account information. Click on "Event Reservations" followed by "Jamboree". Choose the "Youth Participant Application" link.
When submitting the application, there will be a $10 nonrefundable processing fee payable by credit card. This is not part of the jamboree fee.
The website will direct you to print your registration confirmation. You must have it signed by your Scoutmaster. Send the completed form to the Modesto Scout Service Center with a $250 deposit. (The national website indicates a $100 deposit is due with the application; however, there is an additional deposit of $150 due Greater Yosemite Council to cover start-up costs and tour reservation fees. Therefore, the total deposit due is $250. The entire deposit will be deducted from your jamboree fee.)
