This refund policy relates to the transmittal of funds between Greater Yosemite Council and 2010 National Jamboree contingent members.

Part I - Non-refundable Deposits and Fees

  1. The $10.00 national online registration fee is not refundable.
  2. The initial $250 deposit ($100 National Council reservation fee + $150 Greater Yosemite Council reservation fee) is not refundable or transferable.
  3. There will be no refund following the jamboree.

Part II - Refund Statement

  1.  If you sign up for the jamboree and find you cannot attend, you will receive a full refund (except as noted in Part I) from Greater Yosemite Council only if there is an alternate to take your place. An alternate may be selected from the Greater Yosemite Council waiting list, if there is one, or could be a properly qualified youth recruited by the person requesting a refund.
  2. If there is no alternate, a partial refund will be made. The refund amount will be payments on account less expenses related to local planning and contractual agreements. Estimate of refund amounts, based on date of written notification of withdrawal, is shown below. Refunds will be based on actual expenses incurred by the Council on behalf of a registered participant. If the difference between a participant's payments on account and the refund amount is negative, the participant will be responsible for clearing the account by paying the negative balance even after withdrawing from the contingent.
  3. Deposit fees paid by alternates not selected as active participants will be refunded in full.

Part III - Refund Request

  1. Refund request must be made in writing to Greater Yosemite Council.
  2. Refund request must include:
  • full name of jamboree contingent member.
  • statement requesting withdrawal from the jamboree contingent.
  • statement requesting a refund.
  • signature of parent or legal guardian if the request is being made on behalf of a minor.

    • Part IV - Adult Participants

    1. Adult participants (i.e. jamboree adult leaders) are subject to this refund policy.
    2. Non-refundable and refundable amounts will be different from those provided for example in this policy. Refunds will be calculated based on actual fees paid by adult participants and actual expenses incurred by the Council on behalf of adult participants.
