2010 marks the first time online registration has been used for the national jamboree. This has required everyone concerned to learn some new skills.
Online registration works great...if you follow all of the right steps! The National Council of Boy Scouts has developed some registration guides and Frequently Asked Questions to help with the process.
Take time to review the help materials.
Call the council office (209-545-6320) if you have read the registration guide and you are still having trouble.

Registration FAQ's
Question: My son is currently 10 years old. He will be 12 by 2010. How do I register him?

: youth name, DOB, unit currently registered with, council currently registered with, the boy's member ID, and expiration date. Once that information has been received and verified, we will start an application and enter enough information for the system to generate a registration code. We will then e-mail the registration code to the parent. The parent will need to take the registration code and log in to "Edit Youth Application," finish the application, and pay the processing fee.
Because we start the application, the agreement forms are bypassed. We will e-mail the agreement forms to the parent, requesting they read over the forms with the youth and e-mail us with their approval. We then have to check those as "read" in the system.
