Recruiter Patch PDF Print E-mail

There are still openings for Scouts who want to attend the 2010 National Jamboree as a member of the Greater Yosemite Council Contingent . The number of spaces available is updated regularly in the left sidebar of the Jamboree website. It is important to REGISTER NOW if you want to attend. Troop assignments will be made soon. Available spaces not reserved by June 2009 may be given to Scouts in other Councils.   Yes, all those spaces that seem to be available could disappear over night! If you have a friend who has put off registering, encourage them to do it now.

Earn a Recruiter Patch

recruiter-patch-300x225This exclusive Greater Yosemite Council Jamboree Recruiter Patch can only be earned by asking a fellow Scout to attend the Jamboree. There are 65 of these patches still available. It will be one of the rarest patches created for the 2010 National Jamboree!! Your patch collection will not be complete without this special edition. Fill out a Jamboree Recruiter Form naming a Scout who you think might be interested in attending the Jamboree. Send the recruiter form to the Modesto Scout Service Center. If the Scout you refer signs-up for the Jamboree, you will receive one of these special patches. It's just that easy!

Origin of Patch Design

jamroll-300x225The Recruiter Patch shows the Rolls Royce automobile and Eccles touring caravan that was presented to Sir Robert Baden-Powell, the founder of Boy Scouts, at the 1929 3rd World Jamboree in England. Money was raised for the car and caravan by asking Scouts from around the world to each donate one penny toward a gift for Sir Baden-Powell.
