Looking ForwardPosted by Charles Burgess in Untagged |
What am I looking forward to? Well you’ll just have to find out. I’ll give you a hint. It’s what everyone looks forward to…. Getting to the hotels and sleeping the first night!
That feeling of tiredness, along with the other feeling of I can’t-wait-for-tomorrow, is like Christmas Eve. After being so tired, the next morning you wake up to a sunny sky and the feeling that you’re about to have the best day of your life.
Another thing I am looking forward to is meeting people from states all over the country like New York and Michigan. I want to see how they live and how there Scouting program is set up compared to us. It will be amazing to get to know a Boy Scout from another state like Hawaii.
But aside from all the positive things about the trip, there is one thing I am not looking forward to. I’m not afraid of being away from my family for three weeks. I’m not afraid of having to spend the entire time at the Jamboree in the rain. But, I am afraid that I’m going to leave something at the campsite or one of the hotels. It always happens to me. Whether I leave a sock at my aunt’s house or leave my iPod at my grandparents’, I always seem to leave something behind when I travel. This time I will take many precautions so I don’t leave anything behind. I promise!
There is so much more I am anticipating, but I’ll save that for later.
Until next time…

While I was packing my bag for the jamboree training camp out, I had something extra wanting to go. It was my cat Zibba. She was trying to snuggle into my duffle bag.
